29 Weeks!!

May 22, 2009

Here we are at 29 weeks ... time seems to be going by fast now.  It will go even faster after next week - I have my 30 week appointment which starts the every-two-week appointments for 6 weeks!

Here is the usual photo along with a front view which a few people have requested - no big growth spurts over these two weeks.

27 Weeks

May 8th 2009

Well, at 27 weeks, I'm still feeling great ... or at least thought I was until my appointment this afternoon.  The nurse weighed me, and then had me go to another scale in another room to weigh me again.  She couldn't believe that I had gained 12 pounds since my last appointment 5 weeks ago!  I felt like I had grown a bit, but my goodness!  The doctor came in and couldn't believe it either ... she checked my feet and ankles to see if they were swollen (they're not), and looked me up and down wondering where it all went.  I told her it may be a big baby, but when she measured, I was exactly 27cm (which is right on for the way they measure - a cm for each week).  She was perplexed and thought there had to be a mistake, but I was there for both weighings and saw it with my own two eyes.  I guess reading through the blog I posted just before this, it MUST be the creemees! HA!

Here's the picture showing the growth since the last one two weeks ago.

(Man, now I could go for a creemee ... guess I need to find a local spot here in Manchester for some!)

Sheila in Vermont / Aaron in Milwaukee

April 24th - May 3rd

Aaron had to go to a training in Milwaukee this week, so we decided to set it up where he flew in and out of Burlington so I could spend the week at home. Time seemed to fly by, but I got to spend time with family and friends.

It's that time of year when the snack bars open - so before Aaron headed out of town, we hit up our favorite Big Hoss Dog House for some grub and enjoyed some creemees. These were the smalls my mom and dad ordered!!

I watched the Maple Festival parade with the Senesac clan ... and had the festival goodies I was craving - sugar on snow, fried bread dough and some maple cotton candy! The kids enjoyed the parade, and got SO much candy it was falling out of Anna's pockets and overflowing Selena's purse! They loved it when Nanny, who walked in the parade for the Elks, dumped a bunch of lollipops in front of them - they were cute when they stood up and started handing them out to other kids around them.

I finished a wedding invite job while I was home. Then I designed and finished some invitations for Cathryn's upcoming First Communion.

I spent an afternoon with my old friend Kelly and her two kids; got together with Shelley and Angi (Thomas) for a dinner in Burlington; a Thai dinner with Colleen; and a lunch with Selena and her boys. Here's a couple of cute pictures of Matthew - he wanted to eat the lemon, so I took before and after pictures!

The weather was a bit strange - in the 80s at the beginning of the week, rainy and in the 50s in the middle, and then about 60 and sunny toward the end. We got some outside time with the Smith kiddos on Saturday morning.

When Aaron got back into town, we took AnnaBeans out to lunch at Big Hoss - it's a regular thing for her and I, and I had promised her at Christmastime that we would hit it up when the weather was nice. We enjoyed a lunch with the little comedian and then, of course, some creemees. (Yes, I highly enjoy creemees, and had even hit up Dukes for some during the week - once with Selena and once with Spuds!)

It was a fun week and great to see everyone, as always!

Boston Weekend

April 17th-19th 2009

Even though we're only 49 miles from Boston, we decided to spend the weekend in the city to hang out with some friends that were flying in from Ohio for a couple of Sox games.  We had a great time catching up with Brian and Mike and walking around in the great spring weather.  We hit up a few bars (me with my water/sprite) and our favorite, Houston's, for a great dinner on Saturday night. We're always up for time in the city!!

Easter Weekend in Vermont

April 10th-12th 2009

We headed up to Vermont for Easter and had a pretty relaxing weekend. We did have to recreate last year's Easter photo for fun!

(please ignore the "alien antennas!")

We enjoyed an Easter dinner with the WHOLE clan, and Grandpa Bowler stopped by for a visit. We were able to get all the great-grandchildren to pose (and look at the camera ... which takes some silliness behind the scenes!) for a photo with him - very cute.

23 weeks!

April 10, 2009

Spring is springing and Sheila is growing!

It's funny, I didn't feel as though I had grown much bigger since the last photo until just two days ago.  My belly got itchy and it felt like it was stretching a bit and yesterday I woke up and felt much bigger - it always seems like it happens overnight.  Our little girl is growing fast now!
